Colonnata is the tag that collects the images made in the Tuscan village near Carrara. The village is famous for the production of “Lardo di Colonnata DOP”. The village is located in the mountains of the Apuan Alps and is surrounded by the white marble quarries of Carrara. The men of the village have always been involved in the extraction of marble in the nearby quarries. Lard was in the past a poor food, used by quarrymen for lunch that was eaten in the workplace. Colonnata è il tag che raccoglie le immagini realizzate nel borgo toscano vicino a Carrara. Il borgo è famoso per la produzione del “Lardo di Colonnata DOP”. Il borgo è collocato tra le montagne delle Alpi Apuane ed è circondato dalle cave di marmo bianco di Carrara. Gli uomini del paese sono sempre stati addetti all’estrazione del marmo nelle vicine cave. Il lardo era in passato un cibo povero, usato dai cavatori per il pranzo che si consumava sul posto di lavoro. Oggi nel paese sono presenti piccole botteghe dove i turisti possono gustare il prodotto gastronomico. Il marmo bianco di Carrara è presente nel paese in ogni elemento architettonico: muri; stipiti delle finestre; scalini.
